Speaking of new jams, this past week local duo Dolphin Logic dropped their debut, Holographic Dreamingg, on Oakland's Tundra. It has been getting peeped about all over the internets, from showing up on an Impose Magazine hot new release list (among heavy hitters like Zola Jesus, Frankie Rose, The Babies, etc.), all the way to France. Congrats, boys. Snag the download for only 1.99.

Night Of The Living Doug
Tonight there is a killer party/show going down at the Douglass Art Place in Murphysboro, and it will definitely be worth the short drive over there. It is a costume party, horror-themed art show, there will be snacks and kegs, and most importantly, 3 awesome bands! Dolphin Logic will be playing their 2nd show, Black Fortys will be there and have a whole bunch of awesome tricks up their sleeve (so we've heard..), and Moonbuggy Kids will be there doing a special acoustic performance. AND THE DOUG IS SO COOL! Also, Howard and James of Dolphin Logic will be on the 1's and 2's. Show starts at 8p, bands play from 9-11p, so get there early!Speaking of Dolphin Logic.. they've just dropped a digital release, and it is totally sweet, and the artwork is amazing! Check it..

D CUBED
Tomorrow our buddy Daniel Francis Doyle will be coming to town, all the way from Austin, Texas. He played the Skihaus last fall with Flight from Mississippi and Himalayas, and he blew a lot of minds with his intense, no-nonsense 1-man show, which is probably the finest example of 1-man-band-itry we have ever seen. He has just started performing with two additional members, so this show will be one of the first chances anyone outside of Austin has had to experience the new lineup. Dan Senteighty and Dolphin Logic (a new synth duo comprised of Drunk Virago's Howard Steeley and James McKain) will finish out the night.
