Show Update! 10/30 & 10/31

10/30: Turbo Fruits from Nashville are now playing the Roller Derby benefit at Boobys tonight, along with Near Death, Tapeworms, and Big City Deer Attack.

10/31: This show will be the release of High Carb Low Life zine #5! One year anniversary! I just watched them be put together and they look amazing, best one yet.

Swamp Showzzz

Don't forget about the show at the Swamp tomorrow right after Booby's! Himalayas... Batrider... Glass Pyramid... Infinity Wizard... FUN!

PS: The Swamp hosted an eclectic mix of acts from Urbana this week: Rob Jacobs, Dr Responsible and Withershins. They were joined by local conceptual noise maker Of Course You Realize...

That's SO Goth.

The Lauren’s second annual Goth Revival party was immaculately melancholy. Ray Suburbia opened for The Cramps cover band (BITCHIN) by reading some deep ass Baudelaire.

“Oh, I puked and passed out, but can I tell you something? I had a GREAT time last night!”

Ty Segall / JEFF the Brotherhood Show

Finally got a chance to hear Ty's new record Lemons (on Goner), not as explosive as the S/T LP (on Castle Face) but righteous jams nonetheless.
