Nighty Night Tonight

They're backkkk. After quite some time hiding out, Nighty Night will be playing their first show in 9 months at the Hangar 9 tonight, rumor is they had some new song babies in that 9 months so look forward to that.

Also playing is Lost In The Trees, from Chappel Hill NC, who have a record out on -ANTI (so does Tom Waits..) and who have been getting a lot of hype all the way up to NPR. Looking forward to that, gonna try to hold in the tears.

If that wasn't enough, total cutie Cheyenne Marie Mize will be in town from Louisville, KY and will open up.

Lost Cross 2nite

Pretty rad show going down at the Lost Cross tonight, straight-ahead punks Strong City will be in town from Iowa, and they're playing with the old timers in It Burns as well as new timers Catholics & The Pill and The Heat Tape. I've been listening to Catholics & The Pill practice all week (not of my own free will mind you..) and they are sounding pretty awesome, they've added a new member and have a bunch of new songs. We've heard The Heat Tape have an album coming out soon too..? Anyone know if there is any truth to that? We hope so.

We've been working on bringing some rad bands to Carby this spring, got a number of things in the works, but one we're really excited about is the Jacuzzi Boys from Miami, who will be here on March 5th while their on their way to record a new album in Chicago. In addition to the killer records they have out on Hozac, Florida's Dying, and Mexican Summer, Jacuzzi Boys have a live record that just came out on Jack White's Third Man Records outta Nashville, you can pick it up here.

Speaking of Nashville and Third Man, they also just released a live record by our favorite dudes JEFF The Brotherhood, who've been killing it lately, they just toured Australia and are about to go to Europe, and their new record We Are The Champions will be coming out sometime this spring.. can't wait!

Generationals at Hangar

Been digging on Generationals from New Orleans lately, they have an EP and full length out that are both pretty good. They'll be playing this sweet show on Thursday with Parlor, who are ruling as hard as ever, and Small Time London Thug, who are back after a little break while Cat was living in NYC. So many good shows making this winter fly by.. We just worked a bunch more rad things out we'll be announcing soon!
